My story doesn’t start in a boardroom or a design studio. It starts on the snow — before logos, before gear choices, before I even knew this path existed. The mountains were my playground and my classroom. From my earliest memories I was outside — ski boots clicking into bindings, breathing the cold Colorado air. Winter wasn’t a season. It was home. And every run taught me one simple lesson: comfort, movement, and confidence start with the layer closest to your skin.
While skiing shaped my body and mind, other influences shaped how I see the world. My mom was an entrepreneur long before startup culture made it cool. She taught me what it means to build something from nothing — to take risks, and believe in the value of hard work and authenticity. Her drive wasn’t about trends. It was about making space for something real. That same spirit became the foundation of LayerOne: technical performance, creative self-expression, and base layers designed specifically for women.

Every LayerOne print starts as an original piece of art from a woman tattoo artist, not stock graphics or generic florals. We commission the artwork, print it on technical performance fabric, and put the artist's name on the label.

Our performance fabric is soft, lightly compressive, moisture-wicking, and built with four-way stretch. It moves moisture away from your skin, dries quickly, and recovers without sagging, so it moves with you whether you're skiing, snowboarding, hiking, or layering up for a cold day outside.
A base layer should fit close to the body so it can manage moisture effectively, but it shouldn't restrict your movement. LayerOne is designed with light compression and four-way stretch for a close, second-skin fit that layers comfortably under ski and snowboard gear.
Each print is dye-sublimated into the fabric — not screen-printed on top — so the design will not crack, peel, or fade with washing. Machine wash cold, hang dry, and it will look the same on day one hundred as day one.
Absolutely. LayerOne was built with mountain days in mind, but the same moisture-wicking, quick-drying stretch fabric works for snowboarding, snowshoeing, hiking, camping, travel, and cold-weather everyday wear. Wear it under a shell or let it stand on its own.
